According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), James backed the SUV into an Atlanta police patrol car before driving forward and repeatedly hitting another patrol SUV positioned in front of him. The GBI said officers gave James verbal commands to stop, but he did not. That’s when multiple Atlanta police officers fired their weapons, hitting James several times, according to the GBI.
